What will it cost to use the New American Legion Bridge and I-270?

As we continue planning to solve one of the nation’s most significant traffic chokepoints, we want to make sure you have as much information as possible about this transformative program. Many people have asked how MDOT SHA will make commuting easier and what it will cost to use the new HOT lanes.

With Phase 1 South of the New American Legion Bridge I-270 Traffic Relief Plan there will be plenty of options for you to travel through the National Capital Region. The choice is yours!

American Legion Bridge I-270 Traffic Relief Plan to Connect Customers to Life’s Opportunities

Accessibility for all roadway users is a priority at the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA), and we’ve been working hard to make sure bicycle, pedestrian, and transit improvements are integral components of the New American Legion Bridge I-270 to I-70 Relief Plan under Op Lanes Maryland.

The I-495 & I-270 P3 Program is Now Op Lanes Maryland

The I-495 & I-270 P3 Program will now be known as Op Lanes Maryland. The P3 Program has evolved from when we began four years ago, and our new name, Op Lanes Maryland, reflects this evolution as we continue to collaborate with Montgomery, Frederick and Prince George’s counties, community organizations, residents, businesses, agencies, regional partners and other stakeholders.

Public Outreach: Urbana Latino Celebration

The New American Legion Bridge I-270 Traffic Relief Plan team had a great time at the Urbana Latino Celebration this weekend! We love going out in the community to educate Marylanders about the benefits of replacing the aging American Legion Bridge and answering any questions about how this will provide new travel options and opportunities for all.
